July 14th: History Bus Tour. Tour the Town of Lake Pleasant & the Village of Speculator and learn about it’s local history. There will a Historical giving history with a Then & Now Historical Map. July 23rd: Learn to Geocache. Location is at the Town of Lake Pleasant Library. 2pm – 4pm. You will need a GPS and your home co-ordinance. As you learn the game called Geocaching, you will also be learning local history. This event is sponsored by the Town of Lake Pleasant Library and the Historical Society of Lake Pleasant & Speculator . August 15th: Hamilton County History Fair. Located at the Speculator Pavilion on route 30/8. 10am – 4pm. Meet Historians, Historical Societies, and people who do an historical trade. All from the Hamilton County Region. There will be food and venders as well. Sponsored by the Historical Society of Lake Pleasant & Speculator. September 26th: Apple Fest. Located at the Speculator Pavilion on route 30/8. 10am – 4pm. Venders selling their goods, people making apple cider, and fun activities for people of all ages.
