Route 66

Route 66 is a collection of buildings donated to the Historical Society of Lake Pleasant & Speculator. The buildings are for the public to look at and enjoy. They are located behind the Speculator Pavilion along the Sacandaga River Nature Trail off of Route 30 in Speculator across the road from the Village Beach. The buildings’ doors are open on Thursdays during the Farmer’s Market at the Speculator Pavilion. The public are only allowed to peek into the buildings through the doors for safty reasons. The church is available for weddings. You will need permission from the Village of Speculator to use the grounds and permission from the Historical Society to use the buildings. The Historical Society asks for a generous donation to help upkeep and maintain the buildings. Please contact the President of the Historical Society for permission and give them a month or two notice.
